Valerie Merton LPC, NCC, ACS

Founder of iwc, Licensed Professional Counselor, Psychotherapist


Valerie has been practicing psychotherapy since the year 2000 and opened the iwc doors with a full team in 2014. She has worked in many different treatment settings including hospital, residential, outpatient clinic and private practice. She specializes in mindfulness-based CBT and EMDR therapy. She loves helping people gain clarity and new perspectives that lead to an overall sense of peace and calm. She specializes in the treatment of Anxiety and Depression. Valerie leads the weekly Womens Group meetings and works with families and individuals privately. She recently developed the “Sort, Clarify & Solve” and “Vent & Release” Drop-In therapy service, a ground-breaking form of therapy that allows for people to receive the benefits of talking with a seasoned objective professional to work through a specific issue or simply just to vent, in a single session without continued, ongoing weekly sessions. 


Christine Femia, ACSM

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Exercise Test Technologist

Christine Femia has been practicing health, fitness and wellness for over 25 years and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, NJ. She owns a private practice specializing in Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) and is a level II certified therapist from the Stretch to Win Institute in Arizona. Christine is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a certified Exercise Test Technologist (ETT) from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Other credentials include IMX Pilates advanced reformer & tower instructor, American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer & AFAA certified group exercise instructor.


She also has an extensive background as a corporate wellness program manager for companies including Merck, Exxon and American Home Products. She has also taught as a teaching assistant for the Stretch to Win Institute. Currently, Christine is using her advanced FST and extensive background in exercise science to help men, women and children of all ages and fitness levels feel better and improve their quality of life. 


Dr. Rowena Francisco, MD

Board Certified Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist


Dr. Francisco has been practicing psychiatry for over 25 years in various treatment settings including hospital, outpatient clinics and private practice. She specializes in the treatment of Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression, Bipolar D/O, eating disorders and substance abuse. She addresses each client from a whole-person perspective and loves helping people feel better and improve daily functioning. She treats each patient with a smile on her face, her approach is soft and she is easy to talk to. If you are interested in using medications, Dr. Francisco is here to help you.

Allyson has recently returned to New Jersey after a decade in Montana where she created a bustling art and verbal therapy practice, Flathead Valley Art Therapy, LLC. Trained at New York University by art therapy pioneer, Edith Kramer, Allyson includes evidence-based, neurobiological, trauma-informed, and psychoanalytic approaches in her expressive art therapy practice.


With more than 25 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families, Allyson invites clients to engage in their own creative processes, offering opportunities for connection, self-compassion, emotional regulation, flexible thinking, enhanced problem-solving, and recognition of personal competency. Allyson specializes in working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, addiction, attentional and trauma-related issues.

Jean Hendricks

Jean considers herself an Angel “nerd” because, as she would tell you, she loves the angels so much that they make her heart sing. Her strong desire to be of service to people to assist them in discovering their angelic/spirit teams and most of all, to their higher self to feel empowered and unconditionally loved by these Divine beings.  Using Angel Oracle cards and her intuition, she provides loving guidance plus positive actions to take (as directed from spirit.)  Angels bring loving, uplifting and healing messages to all those who are willing to will listen.


As a holistic energy healer, Jean offers holistic wellness sessions for her client’s optimal well-being. She uses various tools including crystals, color, sound and essential oils to enhance the client's sessions.


In addition to teaching IET, Jean has created and facilitated workshops on various holistic topics including Angels and Archangels, Oracle Card readings, Ethereal Crystals, Pendulums, Awakening your Intuition, and several Animal courses including Animal Communication, Reiki and Chakras.
